Last year Wimbledon banned all Russian and Belarusian tennis players, but this year they will be able to compete at the Grand Slam.
However, each player from these countries that want to play will need to sign documents that he is neutral and comply with some rules, such as not talking about the invasion of Russia in Ukraine.
“This was a tough decision, not taken lightly or without a great deal of consideration for those who will be impacted,” All England Club chairman Ian Hewitt said in a statement.
The players also can’t be sponsored by companies from Belarus or Russia.
Belarusian Aryna Sabalenka that won Australian Open this year, and Russians Daniil Medvedev and Andrey Rublev can play at Wimbledon if they want.
ATP and WTA said they are happy to see players from these countries back in the Grand Slam.

“It has taken a collaborative effort across the sport to arrive at a workable solution, which protects the game’s fairness,” the tours said. “This remains a challenging situation. However, we want to thank Wimbledon and the LTA for their efforts in reaching this outcome while reiterating our unequivocal condemnation of Russia’s war on Ukraine.”
