Sabalenka won the 1st set 6-3 as she made the only break in the set, which was enough for the victory.
Swiatek returned as she triumphed in the 2nd set 6-3 as the Polish player allowed to lose her serve, but also came back with 2 converted break points.
Aryna secured the victory in the deciding 3rd set after 2 breaks from 2 chances as Iga had 4 chances for breaks but converted only 1, which cost her the game and the title in the Madrid Masters.

Sabalenka and Swiatek had played 2 matches before on clay last year as the Polish world number 1 won both of them, but today Aryna was better and will take home the title from the Masters in the Spanish capital.
To be the best, you have to beat the best.
