New Orleans Saints will trust from the 1st minute on the field, rookie QB Tyler Shough vs. the LA Rams, with Spencer Rattler remaining on the bench, the organization revealed today.
Manager Kellen Moore benched Spencer in favor of the rookie midway through the past weekend’s defeat against the Bucs and shared after the match that he will decide in the upcoming 2 days who will start the next game for the team.
The clash vs. the Rams will be Tyler’s 1st NFL start and 1st overall start overall since being part of Louisville on November 30th, 2024.
Shough completed 17 of 30 passes for 128 yards, 1 pick, and no TD vs. Tampa Bay after entering the field trailing 17-3. Prior to the weekend’s defeat, Tyler had only seen limited minutes at the end of a blowout defeat against the Seahawks in September.
