“The qualification was very tense. Especially the third part, since we were three contenders for the first place. In the last lap I was on the edge a lot, but I knew I could be faster and I pushed really hard. After the final it was amazing, I was looking at the audience, feeling the atmosphere. This support is the best thing an athlete can enjoy.”
“My main goal is to get on the podium in the final, but I will also do everything I can to keep the first place, make a good start and see if I can fight with Max. In the longer series of laps he’s usually faster, but I’ll give it my all,” Sainz said.
