NY Jets boss Robert Saleh thinks it’s in the franchise’s best interest to play QB Aaron Rodgers in the final preseason clash; history and injury risk didn’t scare him.
“You can’t coach anxious, you can’t play frightened,” the Jets head coach shared today, confirming that Aaron will start Saturday vs. the NY Giants. “You can slip out of your car and injure yourself. Knock on wood; everyone will be all right.”

Rodgers (39), who for the last time appeared in a preseason match in 2018, sat out the 1st 3 preseason clashes. But now, with the 1st game from the new campaign less than 3 weeks away, the New York manager wants Aaron to get acclimated to MetLife Stadium and its atmosphere before playing in the opener against the Buffalo Bills on September 11th.
The decision of Aaron to appear in the final preseason game didn’t surprise anyone because Saleh claimed that this would probably happen almost a month ago.
