The San Francisco Giants dismissed manager Gabe Kapler on Friday, the 1st head coaching change this year, with 3 days left in the campaign and the organization eliminated from the postseason.
Giants are 78-81 going into a campaign-ending series vs. the NL West champ LA Rodgers. Gabe (48) had a 295-248 record over 4 years at the helm of the team, but his only season with a positive record was 2021 when the franchise triumphed in a franchise-record 107 matches and the NL West trophy.
San Francisco lost in the NL Division series that campaign to Dodgers, then finished 81-81 last season.

“After making this recommendation to the owner and receiving their positive answer, I met with Kapler today to inform him that he is fired,” San Francisco President of Baseball Operations Farhan Zaidi shared.
Gabe’s 1st campaign with the Giants was the pandemic-shortened 2020 season.
