Daniel, who was brough up from Brazilian side Internacional, was a regular starter for the Earthquakes up until his injury. Marcinkowski, who was the first-choice goalkeeper for the team in the 2021 and 2022 campaigns, started in last weekend’s 1-0 win over Colorado Rapids.

San Jose face St. Louis City SC in Matchday 4 on Saturday evening in their quest to reach the Audi MLS Cup Playoffs for the first time since 2020.
