The Arabic country will play against Costa Rica on September 8th and against South Korea on September 12th.
Saudi Arabia became the Magpies owner in October 2021, as the PIF provided 4/5 of Newcastle’s funds.
The Green Falcons friendlies are part of the team’s preparation for the 2024 AFC Asian Cup.
When the deal was signed, the club and the other Premier League sides insisted Newcastle’s owners were separate from the country.
Despite triumphing against Argentina in their opening match at the World Cup in Qatar in the past year, the Green Falcons were eliminated in the group stage, and head coach Herve Renard left to become the manager of the France Women’s national team.
Ex-Manchester City and Italy head coach Roberto Mancini is the favorite to become the new head coach of the Saudi Arabia national team.
