The moves save $27.5 million in cash and significant cap space for Seattle, which will look a lot different in the Mike Macdonald era. pic.twitter.com/uPPzGA9g81

Jamal, a 3-time Pro Bowl pick, was set to earn a nonguaranteed 16.5 million dollars this year and count almost 27 million dollars against the salary cap, untenable amounts for a footballer who has been unable to stay on the field or get to the QB since his elite debut for the franchise back in 2020.
His dismissing wipes the 16.5 million dollars off the organization’s books as well as the 17.5 million (also nonguaranteed) Adams was scheduled to earn in 2025, the final season of his deal.
If Seattle cuts the safety outright, they’ll save 7.3 million dollars against this year’s cap while taking on almost 20 million dollars in dead money. If they designate the player post-June 1 release, which can’t become official until the new NFL campaign, the team will save 17.1 million dollars against this year’s cap by deferring half the dead money into the next year.
Quandre became part of the Seahawks after an exchange with the Lions in 2019. Diggs was picked to 3 consecutive Pro Bowls (2020-22) with the team and had 18 interceptions during his career with Seattle.
