Part of Seattle’s 2-headed rushing attack along with Kenneth Walker III, Charbonnet went down in the 2nd quarter of the Seahawks’ 41-6 victory vs. the 49ers in the divisional round 2 days ago. His head coach was optimistic about the problem that his running back sustained postgame before admitting today that Zach will need a procedure that will come with significant time outside the field.
“It is very unfortunate,” the Seahawks manager started. “Charbonnet is going to need a procedure. So, he will be out for the rest of the playoffs. We love him and wish him a speedy recovery.”
Seattle head coach also shared QB Sam Darnold is doing “good” after competing through an oblique problem in the divisional round, and that LT Charles Cross is day-to-day after leaving in the 3rd quarter with a foot problem.
A 2nd-round selection by Seattle, Zach rushed for 730 yards and a team-high 12 TDs on 184 carries in 16 regular-campaign matches.
