Two stoppage time goals from Scott McTominay gave the Red Devils a sight of relief

In the most remarkable turn of events Manchester United claimed their first Premier League victory in almost a month after two goals deep into stoppage time against Brentford on Saturday.

The Red Devils looked like they were heading into another disastrous result with the visitors taking the lead in the first half through Jensen after another poor showing from goalkeeper Onana.

Should the result stayed the same, it would have been United’s third straight loss at Old Trafford in the Premier League and 4th in total, including the 3-2 collapse against Galatasaray in the Champions League.

But up stepped super-sub Scott McTominay with 2 brilliant goals to lead his team to a much needed victory and breathe live into Old Trafford and more or less save United’s season.

Erik Ten Hag’s side is still some way of the top spots as they currently sit 9th with 12 points, 8 behind leaders Tottenham, but this victory may just be what they needed to lift the spirits going into the international break.
