The New York Yankees Luis Severino has a low-grade lat strain, which may prevent him from starting the season, Yankees manager Aaron Boone told reporters.
Boone said it is unlikely to be a serious long-term injury, but still, he may be forced to put Severino on the injured list, which does not help his couse after he was struck with injury crisis, with more than half of the team sidelined for the start of the season.
“Obviously it’s going to put him in jeopardy to start the year,” Boone said.
“Afterwards when he was kind of doing his workout, arm-care stuff, he just felt some tightness in there,”
“He came in the next day and it was a little tight, and then yesterday he was going to go out and throw and that tightness was still there enough to where he wanted to go get it looked at”
Life at the Yankees is certainly not rosy at the moment with Frenkie Montas and Carlos Rodon both unavailable for the season’s start.
