Toronto got a crucial victory to get closer to a spot in the play-in tournament.

Pascal Siakam finished with 36 points. Fred VanVleet scored 20 but also gave the most assists in a single game in his career – 20 that allowed Toronto Raptors to win against Charlotte Hornets 128-108 at Spectrum Center in Charlotte, NC.

If Brooklyn Nets win later today against Utah Jazz, the Canadian team will secure their spot in the postseason.

Svi Mykhailiuk notched the most points in his career – 26 but Charlotte, which played without any of their starters today, was blown by 20 points at home from Toronto.

All of the point guards of the Hornets – LaMelo Ball, Terry Rozier, and Dennis Smith Jr. were not available to play in this game.

The two teams will face each other again in Charlotte on Tuesday night.
