Fulham head coach Marco Silva shared official Sam Barrott “didn’t have the maturity to handle the pressure” in the London side’s 3-0 defeat against the Magpies.
Barrott showed the London team striker Raul Jimenez a red card after 22 minutes in today’s EPL clash at St James’ Park.
But Marco was mad that no action was taken vs. Jamaal Lascelles when he caught the Mexican 2 minutes before that.
“It was a really strange performance from the official from the 1st minute of the match until the end,” claimed Fulham’s boss.
“Lascelles cleared and elbowed Raul, and we did not get even a foul. I’m not saying he should have sent him off, but it was a clear foul. You need officials with experience and to be able to handle the pressure.”
The reporters asked him if the official was not experienced enough; Silva answered: “In my opinion, yes.”
