Silverstone was beginning the final season of its deal this campaign, but the race did not appear to be worried about its future as that had happened in the past decades.
The ex-RAF base in Northamptonshire hosted the 1st ever F1 race in 1950 and remains the most popular on the schedule, attracting record fans of almost 500,000 people across 4 days in 2023.
The new deal will ensure Silverstone remains part of Formula 1 for another decade, putting the British GP behind only the Australian GP, the Bahrain GP, and the new venue in Madrid beginning in 2026 are contracted further than them.
“I’m very happy to share that the British GP will remain on the calendar for 10 more years with this deal,” Formula One CEO Stefano Domenicali announced.
