Despite the narrow scoreline, Liverpool managed to hold off Real Betis, with Spanish striker Juanmi missing two great opportunities in front of the 42,679 fans in attendance.
The match saw Liverpool lose midfielder Curtis Jones to injury after 30 minutes, and manager Arne Slot indicated that it was too early to determine the severity of the injury.
Liverpool’s US tour continues with matches against Arsenal in Philadelphia on Thursday, followed by a clash with Manchester United in Columbia on Sunday, August 4.
