Liverpool head coach Arne Slot spoke about the possibility of him being dismissed amid his club’s awful form, as pressure is definitely there. The reigning Premier League champs began the new season in a phenomenal way, but now things look very bad as they were defeated in 6 of their last 7 games in all tournaments and are trailing 7 points to the 1st-placed Arsenal.
The Merseyside giants broke the British transfer record 2 times during the past summer to ink stars like Florian Wirtz and Alexander Isak, and the expectations for them were even higher; nobody expected such a poor run from the team.
That led to speculation about the future of the Dutch manager at the helm of Liverpool, and even he spoke about that:
“I think that they say similar things,” Slot claimed. “I discuss the project with the directors and chiefs at the club, and they see the same things as I do. I feel their support not only now when we are in a poor form, but also when we were winning.”
Arne added that his focus is only to get his club to victory and doesn’t think about potentially being sacked.
