The reigning Premier League champs began the new season in a phenomenal way, but now things look very bad as they were defeated in 6 of their last 7 games in all tournaments and are trailing 7 points to the 1st-placed Arsenal.
The Merseyside giants broke the British transfer record 2 times during the past summer to ink stars like Florian Wirtz and Alexander Isak, and the expectations for them were even higher; nobody expected such a poor run from the team.
That led to speculation about the future of the Dutch manager at the helm of Liverpool, and even he spoke about that:
“I think that they say similar things,” Slot claimed. “I discuss the project with the directors and chiefs at the club, and they see the same things as I do. I feel their support not only now when we are in a poor form, but also when we were winning.”
Arne added that his focus is only to get his club to victory and doesn’t think about potentially being sacked.
