Jeremy Sochan intends to ink with the NY Knicks after the forward clears waivers, his agent revealed today.
Jeremy, who was released by the Spurs yesterday, had 10 organizations interested in him and chose the Big Apple as his next destination. His contract with the Knicks, who had been looking for wing depth, is until the end of the campaign and he must prove himself in the Big Apple during that period.
The forward, who is 22 years old, provides New York with a young, athletic wing with size and versatility. Sochan averaged almost 10.5 points, 6 boards, and over 25 minutes per match across 212 matches for San Antonio in 4+ years.
The 9th selection in the NBA Draft in 2022, Jeremy was a 2-time Rising Stars participant as a rookie and sophomore. He had become unnecessary in Spurs because of the rise of rookie forward Carter Bryant, who was drafted last year.
In 28 matches in the current campaign, Jeremy has averaged 4 points, 3 boards, and an assist while shooting almost 50% from the field. He also played as a guard during Victor Wembanyama’s rookie campaign.
