The Red Devils player Kobbie Mainoo has been called into Gareth Southgate’s England team, the FA shared today.
An addition to the #ThreeLions squad… 🤩

Kobbie was part of his nation’s under-21 squad, but England senior team manager promoted the midfielder, meaning the Manchester United young talent could make his 1st team debut in upcoming friendly matches at Wembley vs. Brazil at the beginning of the weekend and Belgium on Tuesday.
Kobbie has been phenomenal for the team from Old Trafford since the beginning of the season as he has 2 goals and 2 assists in 21 matches in all tournaments, and has been regular starter in Erik Ten Hag’s side.
Mainoo, who is still at the age of 18, represented his country at U17s, U18s, and U19s levels but is eligible to switch his allegiance to Ghana, where his parents were born.
However, if he plays of England, that would be no longer an option and that can be 1 of the motives of Southgate to called the young talent.
