The Dallas Stars are heading back to the Western Conference Final — and this time, they got there without a Game 7.
Thomas Harley delivered the winner just 1:33 into overtime, scoring a power-play goal from the top of the slot off a feed from Tyler Seguin, lifting Dallas to a 2-1 win over the top-seeded Winnipeg Jets in Game 6 on Saturday night.

What heartbreaking, touching scenes.

The win sends the Stars to a second consecutive West Final matchup against Connor McDavid and the Edmonton Oilers. Game 1 is set for Wednesday night in Dallas.
Jets forward Mark Scheifele scored the team’s lone goal just hours after the unexpected death of his father, but a tripping penalty in the final seconds of regulation proved costly. With 14.8 seconds left, Scheifele tripped Sam Steel during a breakaway — a desperate lunge that narrowly avoided resulting in a penalty shot.
Though the Stars failed to convert before the buzzer, the call set them up with a man advantage to open overtime. Harley capitalized quickly, ending the game before the Jets could reset.

Jake Oettinger made 22 saves, including a jaw-dropping diving stop on Mason Appleton with just over eight minutes left in regulation — one of his best of the postseason. The 25-year-old now has six playoff series wins over the last three seasons and has helped Dallas remain undefeated in overtime this postseason (3-0).
