The All-Pro rusher wounded his left knee in the 2nd quarter of MNF’s defeat to the Pittsburgh Steelers. Jerome had been carted off the field. Cleveland’s head coach gave no details about his running back injury but shared that he will have surgery.
The manager added that the NFL franchise will try adding another RB to the roster, but Ford will be the team’s leading RB.
Jerome rushed for 106 yards on 16 carries against the Steelers, including a 69-yard run that finished with a TD for his organization. Ford also caught 3 passes for 25 yards. Jerome was drafted out of Cincinnati in the 5th round in the past year.
