Ex-Bucks manager Mike Budenholzer is expected to be the favorite to replace Frank.
“As we revealed with the media at the beginning of the month, organization leadership, including myself, Josh Bartelstein, and ownership, would be looking across our team to determine what changes must be made,” Phoenix GM James Jones shared.
The Suns general manager added that they decided that a new manager needed to lead the team.
Phoenix underperformed in Frank’s lone campaign as head coach, especially the big expectations with Devin Booker, Kevin Durant and Bradley Beal on his roster. Durant and Beal came to the team after owner Mat Ishbia took over the franchise over a year ago.
Vogel inked a 5-year, 31-million-dollar contract in the past summer, will leave the team with a 49-33 record.
