Oscar Lindberg scored the 1st goal in the clash in the 2nd period, but Juho Lammikko tied the game as he notched in the 3rd period.
For the Swedish team’s victory, the penalties scored Henrik Tommernes and Lucas Raymond, who plays for Detroit Red Wings, notched twice.
Sweden is still unbeaten at the 2023 IIHF World Championship, starting with a 1-0 win against Germany and then destroying Austria 5-0. Their next game is against Hungary on Thursday.
The Swedish national team is in 2nd place in Group A with 8 points – only behind the leader USA, which has 9 points after 3 victories in the regular time.
