Four-time Grand Slam winner Iga Swiatek won the title at the WTA Final in Cancun.
In the final, the Pole beat Jessica Pegula (USA) 6:1, 6:0 in about an hour on the court. This will see her return to the top of the world rankings and finish the year as No. 1 for the second season in a row.
After crashing out in the fourth round of the US Open, where she relinquished her No. 1 ranking, the Pole won titles in Beijing and Cancun and is on a 12-match winning streak in 13 matches, including 11 in a row.

In the final, Swiatek lost only one game and completely dominated on court. She clinched the 17th trophy of her career and dropped just 20 games in Cancun, the most dominant performance in the tournament since the group stage was reintroduced in 2003. The previous record was held by Serena Williams, who lost 32 games in 2012.
