World No. 1 in the WTA rankings Iga Swiatek for the second year in a row won the Roland Garros. Тhe Pole had serious difficulties with the surprise of the tournament, Karolina Muchova, but defeated her in three sets – 6:2, 5:7, 6:4 in almost three hours of play.
Swiatek dominated early on and won the first set fairly easy and it looked like it will be a walk in the park, but then Muchova recovered. The Czech made a famous turnaround from 0:3 in the second part and took the match to a decisive third set. Swiatek stabilized her game and triumphed with the title.
