The Manchester United boss was frustrated with his team’s effort in the attack.

Erik ten Hag shared that it is “obvious” why the Red Devils inked a forward during the summer transfer window after his team failed to score against Tottenham as Spurs beat them 2-0; in the Premier League opener, Manchester United scored only 1 goal.

The Red Devils wanted to ink Harry Kane, but he preferred to join the Bundesliga and inked with Bayern Munich. Ultimately, ten Hag’s side chose to sign for 81 million dollars  Rasmus Højlund from Atalanta as the Red Devils can pay another 10 million dollars in add-ons.

“We believe these players, in the past campaign, can also net goals. It’s also obvious why we signed a forward,” The Man. United’s manager shared after the match against Tottenham today.
