Erik ten Hag has claimed the Red Devils “cannot feel sorry for ourselves” after today’s 2-0 loss against West Ham United in London.
Jarrod Bowen and Mohammed Kudus scored in the 2nd half for the Hammers victory, and that meant that this is Man United’s worst start to a campaign since 1930, losing 13 games across all tournaments at this stage of the season for only the 2nd time in the club’s history.
After the defeat, the Dutch manager shared, “We have to play 2 more matches this week but we can’t feel sorry for ourselves. No-one. We have to take responsibility; if you are a footballer at the Red Devils, you have to do it together. Each player must be accountable and take responsibility.”
Manchester United have scored just 18 goals in 18 Premier League matches this campaign as Rasmus Hojlund is still looking for his debut goal in the league.
✅ “We controlled the game.”
“We gave West Ham nothing. We created three chances, but didn’t take them.”
