The Red Devils attacker Marcus Rashford will get back into the club’s starting 11 when he shows that he is ready for that, head coach Erik ten Hag shared today.
Rashford was benched in the team’s 2-1 victory against Chelsea at Old Trafford two days ago after a bad performance in the loss vs. Newcastle the past weekend.
🔴 Ten Hag on Rashford: “I’m not gonna change my idea. He’s an incredible, good player”.
“He can’t play every game — he’s not in this moment in the form he was last year but I am sure Marcus will get there”. pic.twitter.com/mqFgUBWOc2

The forward has struggled for form all campaign, netting just 2 goals in 19 matches. Manchester United’s manager claimed he has to earn the right to play from the 1st minute again as he gave an example of what Harry Maguire and Scott McTominay did to return to the starting 11 after being also dropped by the Dutch head coach in the past.
“Rashford is an elite forward,” Ten Hag shared with the media ahead of their match vs. Bournemouth.” However, Erik added that he could choose only 11 footballers to be on the field in each match, and Marcus couldn’t appear in each game.
