The Dutch manager backs the Man United supporters’ sign.

Erik ten Hag has approved the Red Devils fans who put a “Play Like You Mean It” banner during their league match against Fulham in London in the past weekend, admitting their footballers can “always be better.”

Manchester United triumphed 1-0 vs. Fulham after captain Bruno Fernandes scored in the last minutes of the clash. The win came after 2 straight 3-0 defeats at Old Trafford vs. Man. City in the Premier League and Newcastle in the Carabao Cup left the boss under a lot of pressure.

Despite the awful beginning of the new campaign, as the Red Devils already lost 8 matches in all tournaments, the fans are unhappy more with the footballers than with the manager.

“The footballers made their efforts, but they can always be even better,” the Red Devils head coach shared. “We expect only the best in our club when you wear our shirt or you’re part of the club in any way.”
