Erik Ten Hag expressed his disappointment with his Manchester United’s players in the team’s sloppy 2-0 defeat to Tottenham Hotspur last weekend.
The Dutchman mad it abundantly clear that all of his starting players fell well below their and his expectations.
“They didn’t run, or they run in the wrong moment, too late. They didn’t recover – especially the front,” he said.
“I gave them the feedback this is not acceptable. Every individual has to take responsibility. We need accountable players.”
Ten Hag believes the Red Devils played well in the first half hour, but then their performance suddenly dipped.
The defeat left his side with only 3 points form 2 games after a rather fortunate win in the opening round against Wolves. United now go against Nottingham Forest on Saturday and they will desperately would want to grab hold of the 3 points, but also improve drastically performance-wise.
