Tension is reportedly building inside Ferrari F1 team after Charles Leclerc’s public criticism of the team’s 2025 car, the SF-25. According to Corriere dello Sport, several engineers at Maranello were displeased with the Monegasque driver’s comments following the Singapore Grand Prix, viewing them as damaging to team morale.
After another disappointing weekend, Leclerc voiced his frustration, saying: “Mercedes has made great strides forward, just like Red Bull had a few races ago, but we haven’t. In these conditions, it’s difficult to be optimistic and think that the situation can change in the final races.”
His assessment reportedly sparked discontent among the engineering staff, who felt the remarks unfairly targeted their work.
Ferrari remain the only team in the top four of the Constructors’ Championship without a victory in 2025. Leclerc has been responsible for all five of the team’s podium finishes, while Lewis Hamilton is still searching for his first top-three result with the Scuderia.
