The Spanish midfielder is planning a transfer in Turkey
Liverpool midfielder Thiago Alcantara has asked to be released by the club to move to Turkey as a free agent, Spanish news agency AS has revealed.
Trabzonspor is interested in Thiago, but the only option for the Turkish club to sign him is for the player to terminate his contract with Liverpool. However, the experienced midfielder has a contract until June 2025 with the Reds.
Thiago has 97 appearances, three goals and six assists for Liverpool since his transfer from Germany’s Bayern Munich in 2020. The Spaniard arrived at Anfield with high hopes to solve the team’s midfield problems, but he suffered multiple serious injuries that got in his way to become crucial part in Jurgen Klopp’s plans.
