Carolina Panthers LB Shaq Thompson becomes another player at the start of the season that suffers season-ending injury.
Thompson picked up an injury to his ankle that is likely to keep him out the rest of the season, NFL insider Ian Rapoport says.
He’ll have tests tomorrow to get more information, but according to coach Frank Reich, the extend of the problems is “significant.” It is a a brutal injury to one of Carolina’s leaders and it is a huge blow on their ambitions this year.

Earlier on Monday Nick Chubb of Cleveland Browns tore his left knee ligament and will also miss the rest of the season, while Aaron Rogers tore an Achilles tendon just couple of minutes into his debut for New York Jets.
