Oklahoma City with 2nd half comeback to defeat Mavericks.

Shai Gilgeous-Alexander notched 34 points to lead the Oklahoma City Thunder to a crucial 100-96 victory against the Dallas Mavericks at American Airlines Center in Dallas, TX, in Game 4 to even the West ½ finals matchup at 2-2.

Gilgeous-Alexander also grabbed 8 boards and had 5 assists to help OKC to even the series and take back the home advantage. Chet Holmgren and Lu Dort scored huge 3-pointers late, and Jalen Williams drove for a dunk and a 94-91 lead with less than 90 seconds on the clock as the Mavericks bench demanded a double-dribble call.

The franchises split a pair on each other’s venues. Game 5 is Wednesday in OKC.

Dallas’ last opportunity to even come with 10 seconds until the end with only 2 points behind and Luka Doncic at the free throw line. However, the Slovenian star missed the 1st.

Mavericks blew 14 14-point lead at the beginning of the 2nd half as their offense struggled from there, and OKC returned to win the match.

P.J. Washington led the Mavs with 21 points, while Luka finished with a triple-double – 18 points, 12 boards, and 10 assists. Kyrie Irving had his 2nd single-digit scoring match of the series with 9 points.
