Jake Rogers staring with 3 RBIs

The Detroit Tigers edged out the Tampa Bay Rays 4-2 on Saturday.

A fantastic performance from the whole team helped Detroit overcome a terrible 3-17 record against Tampa Bay as they clinched their first win against the Rays in 5 matches this season.

The star of the show was Jake Rogers as he drove in three runs, while Akil Baddoo registered a homer.

The Rays entered the ninth down 4-2, but closer Alex Lange walked the first two hitters. Yandy Díaz hit into a double play before Lange walked Wander Franco.

Both teams scored a run in the second. Tampa Bay got a one-out RBI single from Manuel Margot and the Tigers replied with three singles that finished with Rogers driving in Miguel Cabrera.

The Tigers added two in the fourth when Rogers doubled in Andy Ibanez and Baddoo.
