The Italian Football Federation announced yesterday that Sandro had been given an 18-month suspension, 8 of which will be commuted to alternative treatment.
“It’s tough because we haven’t had that official confirmation as a football team yet,” the Magpies boss shared with the media today.
“We’ve heard about the ban, but we haven’t received anything official from the Italian authorities till today, so we’re in limbo, really waiting for that official letter.
“It is possible that Tonali could be available for us. There have to be a few things that have to happen before the suspension is active.”
