Neuer is ready to return to Bayern squad

Bayern Munich goalkeeper Manuel Neuer could be on the pitch very soon as he can make his return this weekend, almost a year after he broke his leg.

The German goalkeeper suffered his problem while skiing at the end of last year and started to train near the end of September. His side will face at home Darmstadt on Saturday.

“If nothing is unusual in training, then Neuer will be on the post tomorrow. He is excited to be back, and so are we,” head coach Thomas Tuchel shared today with the media.

“I’m convinced many other people are also very happy to watch him play again.”

Neuer played for the last time with his team vs. his ex-team, Schalke 04, on November 12^th, 2022.

Tuchel added that Manuel is very excited to be able to play football again, and he trained really hard to make that possible and to be able to help his teammates on the pitch.
