Newcastle manager Eddie Howe said he expected Sandro Tonali to be available for the upcoming vital game against Borussia Dortmund in the Champions League on Wednesday night.
The 23-year-old is expecting news on his investigation for betting allegations, which could lead to lengthy ban of up to 10 months.
“As far as I’m aware, I’m expecting him to be available tomorrow,” Howe said.
“I’ll plan like that until told differently.”
Tonali was part of Newcastle training squad ahead of their Champions League clash as the Magpies look to repeat the phenomenal 4-1 defeat over PSG.
Tonali has proved to be integral plan of Howe’s plans following a 70 million euro move from Milan and his loss will be a huge blow for the English club.
