Restricted free agent Obi Toppin will ink a 4-year, 60 million dollar deal to remain with the Indiana Pacers. Obi emerged as a top bench contributor for the East Conference finalists.
He had a career season in his debut campaign with Indiana, averaging over 10 points on 57.3% shooting from the field in 21 minutes per match.
Obi fits perfectly with the Pacers’ high-powered offense and has become an elite play-finisher. Toppin had 101 dunks last campaign and shot over 40% from the 3-point line as that was his career best.
Indiana acquired Obi from the NY Knicks in last offseason for a pair of 2nd-round selections. Knicks selected Toppin with the 8th overall selection 4 years ago but New York decided after 3 seasons with the team that he doesn’t fit in the plans for the future.
