Mercedes boss Toto Wolff said what his expectations of the upcoming Qatar Grand Prix are as well as the battle with Ferrari during the season.
“It was important to limit the damage as far as the Constructors’ Championship is concerned. We have six races left until the end of the season. We enjoy the Ferrari battle. We will do our best to move forward and earn points,” he said.
“We’re coming back to Lusail for the first time since 2021. The first Grand Prix there was a success for us, so we’re looking forward to coming back. With its sweeping corners, Lusail is a challenging track that the drivers also like,” Wolff added.
“Since our last visit there have been changes both on and off the track. Therefore, a key element of FP1 will be understanding the effect of surface renewal. As this is a sprint race weekend, we will have limited time to work out the issues and find a stable setup for the rest of the weekend. It will be an interesting task that excites us,” concluded the Mercedes boss.
