Tristan Thompson is set to return to his former club the Cleveland Cavaliers after the two sides have agreed on a one-year deal, reports say.
The 32-year-old spent nine years at Cleveland and has plenty of fond memories there, including lifting the NBA title in 2016. He also appeared in four straight finals alongside LeBron James, with whom he played at Lakers last season.
The Cavs made their return to the playoffs last season after a 4-year absence and they need to further strengthen their squad in order to mount another serious challenge in the upcoming campaign.
Thompson has averaged 9.0 points and 8.4 rebounds in 730 career games and he offers plenty of diversity and experience.
The 32-year-old has competed with Boston, Sacramento, Indiana and Chicago.
