He also has elbow issue, but it wasn't the main reason to withdraw against Rune
Stefanos Tsitsipas has swelling in his lower back and it is the reason why he did not finish his match with Denmark’s Holger Rune from the group stage of the ATP Finals in Turin.
At the press conference after the match, the Greek tennis player revealed that the problem had already appeared during the tournament in Shanghai a month ago. However, he reached the semi-finals in Antwerp, Vienna and Paris in recent weeks.
He tried to overcome the problem today, however, the pain got the better of Tsitsipas and he retired after just three games with a score of 2:1 in favor of Rune.
Tsitsipas has been complaining about elbow problems in recent weeks, but that wasn’t the problem for him today.
