Thomas Tuchel has expressed his frustration on Matthijs de Ligt as the Dutchman finds it difficult to adapt to life in Germany, reports say.
One particular are that Tuchel is unhappy about is de Ligt’s inability to pass vertically.
Bayern’s head-coach has labeled his player as too slow and reduced him to third-choice behind Kim Min-jae and Dayot Upamecano.
Since his arrival in April Tuchel has demanded a more intensive play through the lines with emphasis on vertical passes and de Ligt just hasn’t been able to cope with it.
The 24-year-old joined the Bavarians last summer in a lucrative 80 million euros deal from Juventus, which ties him up with the club until 2027.
But the Dutch international has struggled with life at Bayern and may soon be on his way out of the Bundesliga champions.
