Matt Coronato opened the scoring in the first period with his second goal of the tournament.
The Czechs played much better in the second period, but were still unable to create meaningful chances. Nick Perbix punished them for their lack of creativity and doubled the scoring at 2-0.
Cutter Gauthier rounded off the final score and put the match beyond the hapless Czechs for U.S. 8th straight victory.
U.S. will be looking to go one better and secure a final spot after they achieved a bronze medal on four consecutive past occasions(2013,2015,2018 and 2021). The Czechs meanwhile exit the tournament empty-handed.
