That was Leo Messi’s and his teammates’ 1st defeat since their 2-1 against Saudi Arabia in their 1st game at the 2022 World Cup.
“We never felt all right tonight,” shared Inter Miami’s superstar Leo Messi.
“The defeat is a good test for us. They are a fantastic opponent, and it was difficult for us to show our qualities on the pitch.
“Uruguay have physical and fast footballers in the middle of the pitch. We didn’t find a way to control the ball and the game’s tempo for longer.”
🇦🇷 Leo Messi on tension with Uruguay players: “I prefer not to say what I think about some gestures. But these young people have to learn to respect from their elders”.
