The head coach added he would reassess his lineup decisions ahead of Thursday’s clash vs. the Dallas Stars.
The forward was scratched for 2 straight matches in November, with the manager calling for more output from Andrei.
“Kuzmenko got to get his style a little bit more sharpened up,” the Canucks boss shared with the media in the past months. “It’s not about last season, it’s about this season for us. And he’s a guy that needed a reset.”
The forward has 6 goals and 17 points in 29 matches this campaign. However, Kuzmenko’s time on the ice dropped to just over 11 minutes in his team’s 4-3 victory against the Chicago Blackhawks during the weekend.
Andrei inked a 2-year, 11-million-dollar deal with Vancouver after notching 39 goals and 74 points in 81 matches with the Canadian NHL franchise in his debut campaign in the league last year.
