Vasseur confirms new updates are working after good Canada race

Ferrari’s performance at the Canadian Grand Prix and the qualifying of Charles Leclerc and Carlos Sainz finally brought a smile to the face of team boss Frédéric Vasseur.

“It was a good race – commented the Frenchman. – On Friday, we showed that we have a good pace – for qualification and the race. But on Saturday it was much more difficult because of the weather conditions. We did well in the race, we had a good strategy. We knew we could be fast, and in the last 30 laps we were at the pace of Hamilton and Alonso. I think it’s a big step forward, the improvements we’ve made are definitely working.”.

“We have to try to correct the mistakes we make, we will discuss this with the team on Tuesday – confirmed the head of the Scuderia. – We are still chasing the perfect weekend that will bring us even better results.
