His teammate Sergio Perez made an early mistake and will start last on Sunday

World champion Max Verstappen was untouchable in Australian Grand Prix qualifying session and grabbed pole position with 0.2 second advantage over second-place George Russel in Mercedes.

Third will be the other Mercedes car with Lewis Hamilton and next to him is Fernando Alonso.

Ferrari disappointed once again and will be 5th and 7th with Leclerc having more difficulties in Melbourne. One of the big surprises was Alxander Albon in Williams, who got into Q3 and finished 8th.

Saudi Arabia Grand prix winner Sergio Perez made a big mistake in Q1, spinning the car into the gravel, which means he will start last in Sunday’s race.
