The Dutch, who is a 3-time Formula 1 champ and won this season’s title in October in Qatar, took the lead from the start and no way was able to come near him, as Verstappen extended his newly-minted record for race wins in a campaign to 17 with 2 races remaining until the end of the year.
Max easily triumphed against McLaren’s Lando Norris, who finished in 2nd place for the 6th time this season. At the same time, Fernando Alonso made a phenomenal race and overcame Sergio Perez in the final laps for a place on the podium.
It was Verstappen’s 52nd GP win of his career, as he is the driver with the 4th most triumphs behind only Vettel, Schumacher, and Hamilton.
