Max won a 9th straight race to tie the Formula 1 record.

Max Verstappen finished 1st place at his home race today, as he overcame the rain at the Dutch GP and won for his record-tying 9th straight time in Formula One.

The triumph in the Netherlands ties him with Sebastian Vettel from 2013 for most consecutive race victories.

The Red Bull pilot began the race from 1st place and led almost the whole time, securing his 11th campaign victory. A torrential downpour stopped the race temporarily after 65 laps for almost 20 minutes, but the Dutch kept his pole position after the restart.

Fernando Alonso finished 2nd place, while the 3rd place on the podium.

Sergio Perez got out to an early lead, but his Red Bull teammate Verstappen took the 1st position after a pit strategy. In the end, Perez failed to the 4th place as the final place in the top 5 was for Sainz.
